Privacy notice

This explains what happens to your details when you book a visit with First Response Roofing & Building Ltd (company no. 15219572). We are responsible for your details.

What we collect

When you book: your name, mobile number, email, address and postcode, the time you pick, and your answers in the form: the type of job, how soon you need it, whether you own the property, rent it, let it out or are buying it, the type of building, any note you add, and, if you’re buying, that you chose a paid roof inspection. We also note how you found us, for example a Facebook advert or a Google search.

Why

To arrange your visit, email you a confirmation and a reminder, let you change or cancel the visit, help Sammy prepare for it and give you a quote. We do this because you asked us to (taking steps before a possible contract). We never sell your details.

Who sees it

Sammy and the people who help him run the business. These companies process it for us and may not use it for anything else:

• Supabase, which stores the bookings (on servers in London)
• Vercel, which runs this website
• Google Workspace, which sends our emails and holds the replies

Some of these companies may handle data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

Two years after your visit. Then we delete it.

Counting visits

We count visits to this website with our own simple counter. It uses no cookies and stores no IP address or anything else that could identify you: only the page, where the visit came from (for example Google or a Facebook advert) and how far through the booking form it got. To avoid counting the same step twice, your browser keeps a short note for that visit only, which it deletes when you close the tab.

Facebook adverts

The free roof check page that our Facebook adverts link to uses the Meta Pixel. It tells Meta that someone visited the page or booked, so we can see which adverts work. Meta may set its own cookies to do this and uses the data under its privacy policy. We don’t send Meta your name, phone, email or address. The rest of the website doesn’t use the Meta Pixel.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time. Call or text 07508 711506, or email sammy@firstresponseroofinguk.com. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
